Our #RedAndWhite Patio for Canada's 150th Birthday!

Thursday, June 29, 2017

You guys, today is the last day of school for the kids!  Though I can hardly believe it, we are all ready and eager for summer holidays to start!  We don't have any concrete plans, but we hope to make it to a Jays game or two, visit Niagara Falls with the kids for the first time (!!!!) and of course, we intend to spend as much time at the beach as possible!

But first, this Saturday is our Nation's 150th birthday!  We are excited to celebrate this incredibly beautiful country that we get to call home!  We decked out the patio in red and white for the big day and it looks so very festive!  Since I don't typically decorate with these two colours, it really does feel super special.

For us, Canada Day is all about hanging out with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors as much as possible if weather permits.  Finger foods, bbq dinner, delicious treats and lots of beverages are always on hand.  Something extra special this year are the red and white lights hanging from the fence.  These lights were gifted from Canadian Tire as part of their #RedAndWhite campaign (thank you CT!!!) and are available in store.  I am more than proud to hang these lights and to turn them on so that our patio can #ShineBright this Canada Day!

How do you love to celebrate Canada Day?  Do you have any plans for Canada's 150th?!  Be sure to share photos of what you're up to on social using the hashtag #RedAndWhite so that everyone can see!

Have a wonderful Canada Day, friends!

Cheers,
