I absolutely love spring and filling the house with hints of this glorious season.  There isn't anything better than seeing spring flowers popping up in your garden and watching the kids play outside, taking in the warmth from the sunshine!

A few bunches of tulips spread throughout our family room do the job for adding touches of spring to the space!  Sweet treats in spring like colours are an added bonus!

It's around this time of the year that I find myself reaching for delicious fruits a little more often!  Grapefruit is an all-time favourite!  Don't forget that fruit can work as part of your decor too!

Fresh hits of colour throughout the living room give this space a new look for the upcoming season!

Gluten Free Chocolate Chip & Oatmeal Cookies

Hello!  Happy Wednesday!

It's hard to believe that we are already midway through our March break!  So far we've enjoyed being active and kicking our feet up, which is what March break is all about!  Mother Nature wasn't exactly done with winter and we just got a bunch of new snow, which is perfect since we have plans to get out skiing later this week!

I wanted to share a yummy recipe that the kids and I tried for the first time yesterday.  If you like cookies and have been looking for a gluten free recipe, this one may be worth a shot!  We cooked ours a little longer, so they were on the crispier side. 

The only thing I didn't do was add xantham gum because the pre-mixed GF flour that we use already has some in it.  Otherwise we followed the recipe to a "t"!  You can find the recipe here!

Decorating With Spring Flowers

Our Weekend & A Down Jacket

We escaped to the big city over the weekend and it was such a great getaway!  Though I'll be the first to admit that I'm finding it awfully hard to get into the swing of things today!

I've been searching for a great down jacket to wear under my shell for the past couple of weeks.  I felt pretty fortunate to find this one from Eddie Bauer on the clearance rack when I stopped by the store last week!  It was definitely a "start the car moment"!  I love that it's super lightweight and packable (I was able to stuff it into my tote bag while shopping the other day!).  I didn't want anything too bulky, so this totally fit the bill!  The colour wouldn't have been my first choice, but I fell in love with it immediately after trying the coat on.

Hi!  I hope that you've enjoyed a wonderful week!  Things have been slightly busy here this week, but it's been all about spring, so I'm not complaining!  Here's a glimpse into what you'll be seeing on the blog in the coming weeks!

This post gave me the push I need to look into changing a few things in my own kitchen.  I'd absolutely love to remove the above the stove microwave, but want to do it the right way!  So I'll be looking into this over the next couple of months.  I have a good list of projects written out, hopefully 2017 will be the year of getting things done!
