***GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED*** HomeSense Stockyards Location + A Giveaway!

Tuesday, June 3, 2014

If you follow me on instagram, then you know that last week I travelled to Toronto to do a little shopping with hubs and to take a peek at the newest HomeSense location (psssst use the hashtag #HomeSenseStockyards on instagram).  The Stockyards store is located at 75 Gunns Road.

You guys, this store is lovely.  Inspiring displays and plenty of selection.  If you're in Toronto, you need to check it out, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with what the HomeSense team has done.

I think what amazed me the most was the huge selection!  Aisle up on aisle of great pieces for your home, which obviously, I love.

I could have left with several side tables....

I mean, seriously!  There's a side table for every room here!

I absolutely loved the blue painting on the bottom shelf, gorgeous colours:

If could hoard lamps, I would.  Regretting not buying the one in the middle.  Or the one on the far left.  Le sigh.

Outdoor entertaining inspiration....loooove the white cooler on wheels!  May just be the perfect piece for #operationbackyardoasis, no?

Their displays were seriously so well done (please excuse le blur in the first photo):

~my favourite~

~my second favourite~

Of course I haaaaaad to pick up a little something to bring home with me.  I spotted this lovely capiz shell tray and immediately grabbed it!  It's perfect for the dining room, just need to style it:

Now for the fun part!  HomeSense has kindly given me a $100 gift card to giveaway to one of YOU to celebrate the opening of their new Toronto location!  Awwww, yeah!!!  Just imagine what you could buy!!!

To enter, simply leave a comment below telling me your favourite HomeSense find! (be sure to leave your email address if you don't have a google account so that I can contact you if you're the winner). That's it!  (Sorry, this giveaway is open to Canadian residents only).  Giveaway will close on Monday, June 9th, 2014 at 9:15am EST.

Good luck!!!

Cheers,

  5. I have so many it's hard to say just one!I'm a college kid with a need to decorate so homesense is my go to always. I have an awesome taupe and cream zebra print foot stool that adds some fun to every place I've lived, I've had it for 4 years now, and I have a great wooden block letter "ect" sign that I feel gives a nice little bit of quirk to my living room. Plus way to many more things to count!

  10. I LOVE HomeSense. I was at their store in Vancouver on Friday and spent $1000. In all fairness, it was for work - I'm a high school foods teachers. They have some wonderful kitchen equipment. I bought myself these two Moscow Mule mugs by Strawberry street. They are copper and gorgeous. My husband I used them all weekend.

  12. I bought 2 beautiful Tahari (oh, I love Tahari!) bedroom lamps. The base is mirrored and they have a rectangular black shade. Then I found a stunning round mosaic mirror that complements the lamps so nicely. Now I'm looking for new, all-white linens. Love Homesense and love following you on Instagram!

  18. So I read this post on my phone earlier and thought the legs on those nightstands were red... totally loved that! They are still pretty but what, on closer inspection, turned out to be protective padding had me all excited for a minute.

My fave Homesense find... there are lots but the pink striped chair in my living room was a total score. Love that thing!!

  19. I love the mirror in the picture of your favourite display at the stockyards. Hopefully it is still there (or one like it) when I make the trip!

I have many favourite finds - but the italian pasta bowl I picked up just after meeting my husband a couple of years ago is at the top of the list. We use it every week!

    Thanks for the preview Julie!

  21. There are so many steals at Home Sense, and so many favourites. I like to buy designers' fabric shower curtains from their bath section and re-upholster chairs or benches. I give a much better second life to a piece that now looks unique.

  22. When I was pregnant with my first son, I found a big wicker basket with a liner that says "Baby Things"! I still have it in my son's room, full of his toys. It was so cheap and it's beautiful!

But I guess that just means you'll have to make a few more trips back to Toronto soon! :) I've had so many great HomeSense finds over the years, but I think my favourite is still our family room rug from our previous home that we scored for 40% off!
