Monday, June 9, 2014

Hey friends!  A big big big thank you to everyone who entered the giveaway!  I'm so glad that you all share the love for HomeSense!  We were meant to be friends, I knew it!

I won't keep you waiting....the winner of the HomeSense gift card is:

Melissa from Gold and Ginger!  Congrats Melissa!  Melissa, if you could please email me at ellivenstudio@hotmail.com it would be greatly appreciated.

And thank you HomeSense for providing such an amazing giveaway prize!

I'm going to finish this post off with a little recap from the past couple of days.

you guys! I found this fiddle leaf fig at Home Depot!  This is the variety that I was originally looking for, I absolutely love the other one, but I was beyond (crazy lady beyond) excited to find this!  It was hurting, extremely dry, but I've repotted her, fingers crossed she thrives in her new home!

gazing lovingly at Gloria, my fiddle fig (I named her Gloria, yes...because she is glorious!)

peonies in the backyard. in love.

prepping myself for what we had planned for the weekend...see next photo....

yup, that's right. we had to take apart a portion of the walkway that we just finished a couple of weekends ago to fix the grade so that it would match up with the asphalt driveway that is being put in today.  Good news, it's done after two long days and the very good news is that hubs and I are still talking! ha! #teamawesome?!!

our minecrafters minecrafting while I window shop online (ps super great deal on Bluebellgray pillows at Chapters)

this cane back headboard in the latest issue of Domino Magazine paired with the cut flowers from the garden have me.  So gorgeous!

and lastly, our sweet Hyatt was set to have surgery on a troublesome toe today.  This is something that were hoping we wouldn't have to do.  But after months of trying different meds and getting several different opinions, we decided it was time, so we brought him in, only to be told that they couldn't do it.  I'm pretty upset.  It's just been such a roller coaster ride and so very confusing as each vet has told us something different and all I want is for him to be comfortable again.  Anyhow, we will continue to try to get the best treatment for our guy.  We love you Hyatt!

Have a wonderful week, friends!

Cheers,
