I'm doing the happy dance today as I'm pretty darn excited to help Talbots celebrate the launch of their brand new Flawless Five-Pocket Collection!

White Dress.

I am all about wearing white this summer!  There is something so classic about a white outfit that I am completely drawn to.  I adore this dress that I recently picked up from Gap.  It could easily be dressed up or down and the fact that it has gorgeous pleats and handy pockets is an absolute plus!

It's the perfect neutral that you can easily pair with your favourite colour (pink for me!).  I have no doubt that this dress will be worn a lot this summer!

Backyard Vibes & #Worldsbiggestbookclub July Pick!

It's taken three years, but we finally feel that our backyard is 99% of what we had hoped it would be.  It feels like it takes so long for plants to grow when you plant a garden, cause well, it does!  But patience truly does pay off!

We love hanging out in the backyard and the other day, I threw down a comfy blanket next to the pond, to sit on while the kids played catch.

Weekend (and a little before that) Recap

We were treated to some absolutely gorgeous weather the end of last week all through the weekend. Here's a little recap of the past couple of days:

what a day!  we went for a family bike ride along the water and it was absolutely amazing!

hydrangea season is officially here!  the bushes in our backyard are in full bloom and I'm in love! also, the IKEA Lonsam carafe is one of my favourite vases, yup, it's carafe!

Garden Party

Summer is officially here and that means it's time for garden parties and weddings!  I picked up this dress at the end of the summer last year from Gap, but never got a chance to wear it until now!

I chose to pair it with this stunning gold waist belt (and I decided to wear it with the closure snaps at the front!) from BRAVE Leather.  Nude pumps are my favourite heels you guys!  They seriously go well with any outfit, highly recommend getting a pair.  The blue fold-over clutch was the perfect finishing touch.  I love that you can easily place it under your arm when you need both hands.

Now it's time to party!

Well That Caught My Eye - Edition #5

Okay, I typically post this series on Fridays, but I have a fun fashion post scheduled for this Friday so today it is!

We spent last Friday at the beach, first beach day of the year and you guys, it was fabulous!  It's by far our favourite thing to do during the summer months.  Though I have to admit that the water was still mighty chilly, thankfully, it didn't phase the kids!

Canada Day 2015

Okay, seriously, wasn't it just March last week?!  Goodness, how is it already JULY?!  Sorry for yelling, but honestly

With that!  Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians.  I hope you're enjoying and enjoy an absolutely amazing day!

Though the forecast isn't looking too good for us, we still have some fun plans in store to celebrate our Nations' birthday!

Every year I buy some new Canada Day gear for our little crew and this year,  I fell in love with the tops at Old Navy.  It's all about comfort on Canada Day because the day typically includes backyard chillin' and lots of walking.  Hopefully the weather does cooperate and we can head downtown to watch the fireworks.  I have two outfits ready just incase it does rain, which explains the shorts and pants.

We will most certainly be making this cake.  It's a yearly tradition and so delicious!  I highly recommend it.
