Spring Garden DIY Easter Centerpiece!

One of my favourite things about spring is seeing spring flowers slowly beginning to pop up in the garden.  I also love seeing crocus sprouting in the grass, and that vision inspired me to create a centrepiece!

Here's what you'll need to create your very own spring garden centrepiece:

gold spray paint (or any colour, really!)

faux eggs (picked up from craft store)

fake flowers

moss

floral foam

To create the look, I cut the floral foam so that it sat securely in the base of the container.  I then covered the floral foam with the moss (one bag was enough for the size of this container.

I chose to use wire cutter to break apart the plastic flowers.  This way, I could create more of an organic look and play with the height of each flower.

For the eggs, I took them outside and sprayed them while they were sitting in an empty paper egg crate.  Small bursts worked best for me, they allowed me to create a bit more of a speckled look.  I think next time I may cover them in a little more spray paint so that there isn't as much white showing.

Once you have your flowers in place, you can scatter your eggs throughout and around the flowers.  To me, this mimics an outdoor Easter egg hunt on a beautiful spring day!

I think what I love most about this DIY (other than how quick & easy it is!) is that you can totally customize it to coordinate with your tablescape.  Choose the colour of flowers and spray paint that works best for you!  You could spray paint a handful of eggs and scatter them along the table for an added touch!
