Hello, hello!

Now that the shop is fully stocked (well, I do have a few more items to list, but I'm happy with the selection that is currently available, so I will list the others shortly), I'm focusing and taking time to design and make new products.

I've been talking about totes for a while now, perhaps not so much on here.  I'm craving to sew totes and think it's time to make them available in the shop.  I'm wanting to offer totes that will help organize, glamorize (well, in a moderate way) your lives without going overboard on the design.....a simple tote.

I've drawn up and a design that I'm totally excited to test out.  I ventured out to the fabric store yesterday to purchase some supplies.  I'm really wanting to use twilled cotton as the main fabric, I love it.  I use it to make my Receipt/Coupon holders and Mini Wallets, just a great fabric.  The lining will be bold and fun designer fabrics, just like the ones I'm already using in my shop for many of my items.

A likely combo....I can't wait to share the finished product with you, here's a peek at some of the supplies I picked up yesterday and my notepad.....

Well, I kind of wish it was, then I wouldn't have almost gotten the van stuck in the snow on the drive to school not once, not twice, but three times!  Slight panic attack followed suit after all was said and done.  Oh my!

A Fine Time

And breathe....or wait, hold that thought! almost....

The show was this past weekend, it was fun!  I met some lovely fellow Winnipeg crafters, received some great feedback on my products and got to show off my hardwork.  Unfortunately there was a good amount of snow falling during the show hours, so I think that held some people back, and so the crowds weren't as big as expected.  None the less, I had a fab time, I'm thrilled to have participated and would definitely take part again next year.  Go figure I forgot my camera....but  I did take some pics with my iPhone, I'll get those here shortly.

Right now I'm focusing on listing all items that didn't sell.  There's quite a bit of work left to do...loading photos, editing and then listing the accessories in the shop.  I want to have them all up by Friday (secret....there will be a nice sale this coming weekend for Black Friday....more to come later in the week).

I am here, really, I am.

I've wanted to blog about what I've been up to for oh, about a week now, but haven't found the time to take the pics needed.

a sinus cold + solo parenting + preparing for a craft show = missing in action

I shall be back, in a jiffy, I promise.  The show is this coming Sunday, you can find more info about it here.  I feel as though I'm almost ready.  Just a few more things to sew together and a few crafts to make for the table display, then that's that!

Lots Of Treats

I have to admit that I truly enjoy Halloween. It's funny though, I never give Halloween much thought up until a few days before October 31st. I make sure I have enough candy, decorate a tad bit, carve the pumpkins and then wait for the trick or treaters to stop by. Then when we're in the thick of things, it hits me! I throw on some Halloween inspired music, I put on my orange headband that has bats floating from it and I can't wipe the grin off of my face. I love, love, love to hand out candy, I just love it! I love how excited the kids are, I love remembering the feeling of when I was the one trick or treating, just fabulous!

We were all thrilled to learn that my husband would be coming home Saturday, which was totally unexpected! The kids love going trick or treating with him. It also meant that I would be able to stay back, once I helped get all of our kids dressed up, to hand out the candy....fun for everyone!

PS I've learned my lesson....I went out today and stocked up on Halloween decorations (at fabulous prices) for next year.
