Anyhow, here is the coming together of the newest and latest family room scheme. Just to recap, I really want the family room to be a room where you feel relaxed and at ease. A room that you feel like you can put your feet up and watch a great show with the fireplace on. I love the family room so much! It's right off of the kitchen and is the most used room in the house.
I've been going back and forth on nearly every aspect of the room up until now, but this one really feels right and the best.
There are a few things that need to be added and switched. The lamps are simply examples of styles and colours that I'd be looking for and not what I'd be buying (I'm leaving that to Homesense luck, please cross your fingers for me!). I did see a few similar ones the last time I was there, so I have no doubt that Homesense will indeed come through.
all fabrics from Tonic Living
The three fabrics to the left are for pillows. Bottom left fabric is for drapes (so so so stuck on the drapes, so off white for now). I'm also stuck on the artwork. I had originally wanted to hang a large print but I haven't found anything. I like the trio of Ribba frames because it will allow me to switch the prints out whenever I tire of them. I'll keep you posted on what I find. The round mirror, tray and lamp will go on the black cabinet that I recently purchased.
I've also decided that our current coffee table has got to go. It's all wrong. I'm hoping to find a tufted, square ottoman (fabric with wooden legs) to replace it. The rest of the furniture that is already in the room will stay (leather couch and chairs (no budget to replace them) and the nesting tables (pictured above)).
Love the fresh greenery and the rocks are from the fireplace (floor to ceiling).
So that's where we sit. I really like the purple with the navy, not sure if a lamp is the best way to incorporate purple into the room though. We'll see.
I think that this is much better than before, no?
Cheers,

Looks great! Love the hits of polka dot in the fabric choices!
Try Joss and Main or Overstock for your white tufted ottoman!
calm and serene ... I like! if you are not sure about the purple lamp, how about adding purple accent via a ribbon band on the lamp shade instead? toss pillow is always a good way to introduce pops of colors in the space. If you decide to go custom, you can also have the front and back in different fabrics for a quick and easy color switch up as well.

Great combos! I am loving the purple lamp!
