Hmmm fear, we all have it. It has many different meanings right? I mean, you can have fear, a good fear, protective fear, but then you can have the bad fear...fear that holds you back, fear that paralyzizes you....the "what if" kind of fear.
“You block your dream when you allow your fear to grow bigger than your faith.” Mary Manin Morrissey
It's true.
You know what, in both of these cases I faced fear and in both of these cases I decided that fear was not an option.
Well, I can't even begin to tell you how great I feel. It was beyond exciting to see my work on OMHG and to read all of the amazing comments. I'm so proud and thankful. And the result of decreasing my shop item list....I feel as though a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.
I feel good, I feel proud, I feel happy.....and it shows.
I have to remember that what works for others, won't necessarily work for me. I have to remember that sometimes I will not succeed, I will fail, but from that........I will learn.
So, here's to saying goodbye to fear more often than not, and hello to taking chances. You never know what will happen if you don't....

Hooray for you!!!! For jumping and pushing past fear + making decisions that make you feel good. I am so honoured that you feel OMHG is so big that you felt you might not belong-but I also hope you see that you fit perfectly there. The response was wonderful and your clutches/feature were a joy to create and publish.
Your work is valuable and so are you & your story. If I can contribute in even a small way to your seeing that then I am so happy. I don't want to have a big blog & a gazzilion followers and only share the work of people who have "made it"(wherever it is!). I want to share stories like yours and read posts like this-thank you Julie! I can't wait to watch you grow & your business thrive in the coming year <3
Jessika, thank you so much for your lovely comment. I am so proud of what you have done and what you are doing over at OMHG. I can't thank you enough for everything you done. You ladies have been so amazing! Thank you!
I just started my shop and I would have to say the unpredictability and crazy ways one has to think of to spread the word makes me very susceptible to being fearful! Of creativity, of taking chances, of making investments, etc! But looks like you make beautiful things, have a beautiful blog, and looks like whatever you have done has been amazing! Keep on blazin :)
You're my hero, Julie! This post is just what I needed! Thanks!
thank you ladies :)
Beautiful message ~ one I needed to hear! Thank you for taking time to put it out there :)
thank you so much for your kind comment, Priscilla.
Great post, Julie! I struggle with this too, and I'm so proud of you for kicking fear in the behind! Feels good, doesn't it? I always find that things aren't nearly as scary as I thought they'd be.
You know what, this totally makes me feel better too, cause I just posted a video of myself on my blog, and I was kinda nervous about it. You know, putting myself out there. But, that's just fear talking. Thanks! ;)
Thanks so much Jen! It was even hard for me to post this! good for your for conquering your fear as well!
